Innovation Planning has worked on residential projects of all scales, from single dwellings through to residential flat buildings, and everything in between.

SINGLE DWELLING

This project involved obtaining Council approval to demolish the existing dwelling on the site, and construct a new dwelling in line with the heritage characteristics of the locality.

Previous alterations and additions to the existing dwelling had resulted in a two-storey dwelling that was unsympathetic to the characteristics of the locality. The design of the new dwelling has drawn upon the heritage characteristics of the surrounding cottages and presents a primarily single storey appearance with second-storey elements within the roof form.

RESIDENTIAL FLAT BUILDING

Innovation Planning Australia prepared the Statement of Environmental Effects and assisted to prepare the development application for this mixed use development with commercial premises on the ground floor, and six levels of residential apartments above.

The development required a variation to the height control in the Strathfield Development Control Plan No. 20, to allow an additional storey.
